As 2025 draws to a close, the Overberg invites you to choose your own New Year rhythm from quiet beach walks and starry skies to village parties, vineyard dance floors and fresh starts on a New Year’s Day parkrun.

Quiet reflection, star-filled skies — or dancing into dawn
The Overberg has a rare way of letting you choose your own rhythm as the year turns. You can spend your last hours of December wrapped in quiet — toes in cold sea water, a flask of something warm, the Milky Way stretching overhead — or you can lean fully into celebration, music and late-night laughter. From vineyards and village pubs to harbour-side stages and street parties, the region offers both stillness and sparkle, often within a short drive of each other.
Whether you’re easing into 2026 with a sunset concert, counting down with a DJ and a packed dance floor, or planning to greet the new year on foot at an early-morning parkrun, here’s your guide to New Year in the Overberg.
